How To Use Google Form for Online Quiz

This Posting is about how to use Google Form For Online Quiz and also to maka an online survey. This posting also include the tutorial how to share the link for Students (for teacher) and other people (For Online Survey. Here are the steps :

1. LOGIN TO GOOGLE DRIVE 

To make an Online Quiz or Survey, The first Step is You should Log in to Google Drive, with Gmail Account. If You don’t have Gmail Account, Please visite this page : How To make a new Gmail Account

 

2. MAKE GFORM PAGE

Next step is make new Google Form as your template to make the Online Quiz or Survey. Here is the display.

Then Click Baru (New) Icon at the left right side, then You will find this picture :

Choose Lainnya (Other) and then choose Google Formulir

After Click Google Formulir then choose Formulir Kosong (Blank Form). Look the picture bellow

After that, You will this blank Template, and start to fill the blank page with Your Questions.

3. START TO EDIT YOUR GOOGLE FORM.

Next step is fill Your Gform with your Question. It depend on how many questions you will make. There are some options that you can choose such as:  multiple choice (pilihan berganda), ChecklistDrop Down, Liner Scale, ect. This Tutorial just explain how to make question in multiple choice. It usefull for teachers. Why? because it will be check automaticly by system.

FIll the title for your quiz for example for this tutuorial is Kuis Matematika Kelas VII SMP. (Maths Quiz for secondary 2)

Note : You can make the Description of this form or just skip it

4. MAKE THE STUDENTS IDENTITY

To make an online quiz or online survey, You should input atlease 1 information about your students or surveyer. For example Student’s Name. Here is the picture :

Note : Please Change the type from Multiple Choice (Pilihan Ganda) to Esay

5. SEPARATE IDENTITY WITH QUESTION

Click Separate icon (it’e like Equal sign)

6. START TO MAKE QUESTION

After that Start to make the question

Write in the Title section to distinguish between identity and form content.For example: Mathematical problems then click the + sign to add questions (see image below)

The next step is to add answer options that will be answered by students by clicking Option 1,
then adding other answer choices by clicking add options. The number of choices is 
left to the question maker, it could be A, B, C, D or A, B, C, D, E. depending on the 
needs and level of the student. After the selection is complete, it will appear as shown 
below. After that, repeat step 6 for a certain number of questions. Suppose you want to make 
10 questions, then repeat step 6 to create 10 questions.

7. MAKE THE FORMULIR AS QUIZ

Here is the steps :

Look at the circled symbols. This symbol is on the top right of Google Forms. Click the Settings symbol, then the settings will appear as in the image below:

Note : 

If you check Collect email addresses you are asking your students to enter their email addresses If you tick Limit 1 response, it means that you limit students to only be able to complete this test once and do not allow students to repeat this quiz as a remedial. It is not recommended to check edit after submission because later your students can edit their answers. Please immediately click Quiz in this setting and set it as a quiz (slide the button so that it is blue)

Note : 

If you click Release Grade: Immediately After each submission it means your students can see the grade when they have successfully submitted their form, if you don’t want this option please select the option Later, after manual review. You can also give students access such as allowing them to view unanswered questions, Correct Answers and Point Scores. this arrangement is up to you. Don’t forget to click Save so that the settings you make are saved

8. ADD THE ANSWER KEY

After the questions have been created, the next step is to provide a value and an answer key. Click the Answer Key as shown below.

After clicking the answer key, the image below will appear. Please enter the number of 
points entered and do not exceed the total value of 100. For example, if you want to 
make 10 questions, each question will have a value of 10. If you want to make 25 questions 
then each question is worth 4. Then choose the correct answer by clicking the option which is 
the key to the answer to the question

9. SEND THE ONLINE QUIZ.

After the questions on the quiz have been completed, it is time for you to share the links
that students will use to answer the questions that you will have created.
The tutorial sharing links will be discussed in the next post. Here The steps :

The next step is please click SEND (kirim) as in the image above and a description will appear as in the image below. (See the picture marked with a black circle)

After you follow the steps above, then please click the logo link as shown above, a message will appear like the image below. Please follow the next steps

2. SHORTN URL

Next, you can shorten the URL so that the link you want to share is shorter by ticking the shorten URL, then click COPY to copy the link you want to share.

3. SHARE THE LINK

The last step you only need to do is share the online Quiz link that has been created with students via your social media or chat applications such as WhatsApp or Line.
